The DOOR empowers individuals utilizing Peer Based Recovery Support Services to help increase the likelihood of sustained long term recovery.
We have an array of support services that can be useful for everyone in recovery. These services includes: job readiness, computer literacy, adult literacy, anger management, healthy relationships, addiction education, financial literacy, relapse prevention, and life skills ( i.e. decision making, goal setting, effective communication, critical thinking, problem solving, self awareness, commitment, and honesty). We also offer gender specific support groups and host a variety of 12 step meetings.
The proudest accomplishment to date would be our grand opening and the number of individuals who have found support here at "The DOOR". We provide peer-based recovery support services in partnership with diverse communities of recovery including, treatment communities, the criminal justice system, and broader recovery support resources of the extended community. We have successfully supported individuals in their journey to sustained long term recovery, housing, employment, and family reunification for both returning and non-returning citizens. We are recognized in our community as a beacon of light, a safe haven for all individuals seeking to come back from something difficult.
