Our Stories

Lois Lee Mazzone
Scotia, NY

I am a 45 year old middle class white woman who was addicted to crack. I’ve been clean since June 5, 2004. Jesus is my HP. He helps me everyday. I am committed to recovery. I go to meetings and I share my experience, strength and hope with anyone who will listen. For me, it’s about changing the world’s perception of the addict. Most people are so surprised that I was a crack addict. With fellow addicts I share my belief that this is a spiritual process and without a strong connection with HP, it’s a lot harder than it has to be to be like me...clean and serene. Thanks, God!!!
