Eric Dentler

Eric joined the Faces & Voices of Recovery Board after a long career in high technology and software marketing and sales and service innovation. After experiencing the impact of substance use disorders firsthand, he began researching the potential for mobile technology to help close gaps between formal treatment and social recovery.

His work includes hundreds of hours “on the ground” collaborating with young adult peer recovery leaders and addiction medicine specialists and leadership within public and private treatment centers in San Francisco, Marin, and San Mateo Counties.

Eric is also an expert in leveraging cloud, mobile content management, digital therapeutics, and workforce automation to help bring scale to care providers and communities. He joined the mobile and wireless ecosystem in 2002, and has helped deploy the largest managed wireless hotspots in the U.S. His vertical industry expertise includes smart cities and Internet of Things and has been focused on Software as a Service long before the term was coined. He has a diverse background having spent ten years at Sun Microsystems (in U.S. and Japan), ten at Cisco Systems and ten years as a sales executive and interim CEO in various startups in the telecom, push-technology and eCommerce.
