Faces & Voices of Recovery is pleased to collaborate with the Florida Department of Children and Families, Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association (FADAA) and the Peer Support Coalition of Florida to build the capacity of Recovery Community Organizations (RCOs) through training and technical assistance. RECOVERY COMMUNITY ORGANIZING TRAINING

TARGET AUDIENCE: All community members are invited to participate in this FREE two-day workshop made possible through funding from the Florida Department of Children and Families. People in recovery are especially encouraged to engage in this initiative to grow and lead the recovery community movement in Florida.
LEARN ABOUT: The myths and facts about addiction; stigma and discrimination; the science behind the recovery process; using personal stories to raise awareness; effective advocacy; building community connections to strengthen recovery; Innovative recovery support services; creating a recovery-ready community; ways to get involved.
NOTE: Each two-day training is 9:00 am - 5:00 pm both days. Lunch is on your own.

Recovery Community Organization (RCO) Development Training
INVITATION ONLY! Free training for new and emerging Recovery Community Organizations (RCOs) in Florida. Ideal for new staff, board members and volunteers. An RCO is a non-profit organization or program led by the addiction recovery community providing advocacy, education and non-clinical peer-based recovery support services.
