Tamika Carter-Hargrove is the Operations Assistant for Faces & Voices of Recovery. She has worked in healthcare administration for over 30 years, primarily as a teleworker and independent contractor. In 2006, Tamika obtained a BA in English specializing in Poetry from Columbia College. She is a self-proclaimed low-budget foodie/fashionista, karaoke diva, pop-culture enthusiast, creative writer who one day dreams of seeing her screenplays on the big screen. Although not in recovery herself, Tamika grew up in a family affected by substance use disorders and mental illness and considers herself a recovery ally. She has found working at Faces & Voices of Recovery, helping to make a difference in the lives of others, extremely rewarding.
