DESCRIPTION:Advancing Strategies Overdose and Infectious Disease Preventions – Participants will be introduced to the principles of harm reduction and given the basic skills to help people understand the spectrum of positive and negative effects of drugs. They will learn about harm reduction programs and special barriers associated with underserved populations. Participants also will learn about overdose prevention and response\, as well as paths for moderation. Finally\, they will discuss the guiding principles of harm reduction. \nFunding for this initiative was made possible (in part) by grant no. 1H79TI088037 from SAMHSA.
