Motivational Interviewing Skills that Promote Peer Empowerment 2026810
Persuasion vs. Empowerment! This motivational interviewing training covers the skills and techniques that give peers in recovery the tools and confidence to make their own healthy choices. Participants will be able to define motivational interviewing and gain an understanding of dynamic techniques such as reflective listening, open-ended, and meaningful questions, and the guiding principles of motivational interviewing. Participants also will be able to describe the spirit of motivational interviewihng and practice techniques to support peers through change.
