National Call to Action
Join us on June 11 for our National Call to Action day in Washington, DC, or in your home state. This event provides an opportunity for grassroots advocates to meet with elected officials and their staffers and to speak candidly about the challenges those in recovery from substance use are facing.
In sharing our stories and lived experiences, we help policymakers recognize the critical importance of recovery support services and influence legislation and policy that support these efforts.

Your voice matters — and registering for our National Call to Action helps us amplify it in powerful ways.
When you register, you’re not just RSVPing to an event — you’re stepping into a coordinated movement that’s designed to make real change. Here’s why it’s important:
- We help connect you with others in your state or region, grouping you into teams of 6 so you’re not navigating this alone.
- One person from each group takes the lead in scheduling meetings, and the rest simply show up, ready to advocate.
- You’ll receive clear, easy-to-share legislative asks that reflect the collective needs and priorities of our recovery community.
- We’ll provide access to resources, guidance, and talking points so you feel confident and equipped every step of the way.
- Whether you’re a seasoned advocate or stepping into this for the first time, registering ensures you’re part of something organized, impactful, and empowering.
We invite all Hill Day participants to join us at 9:30 AM EST on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the steps of the United States Capitol, directly behind the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center.
This gathering will be our official kickoff before you head into your meetings on the Hill. Look for Faces & Voices of Recovery team members and signage when you arrive.
We look forward to standing together in solidarity and purpose as we raise our voices for recovery.
Planning to schedule multiple visits? Please register for each event you would like to organize or attend. Unique records will be created for each registration.
