Kiara Booker

Kiara Booker is the Training Program Manager for Faces & Voices of Recovery. She believes we must all work together to dismantle the stigma that surrounds recovery and addiction. Her passion for advocacy stems from seeing the effects of generations of family members and loved ones, both old and young, losing their lives to Substance Use Disorder. She is passionate about educating our communities on healthy ways to support individuals with substance use and other mental health disorders.
Before joining Faces & Voices of Recovery, Kiara served in nonprofit organizations focused on providing mental health and education services, community development opportunities, and leadership development training. With experience providing services to people from various backgrounds, she takes pride in her ability to coordinate programs for diverse groups and has been recognized by others for her servant leadership and attention to detail. She looks forward to serving the recovery community.
She holds a master’s degree in public administration from Regent University, and a bachelor’s degree in English and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Kiara lives in North Carolina. In her spare time, she enjoys reading articles about everything, traveling as much as possible, writing elaborate stories, and dancing to the latest Hip Hop, R&B, Latin, and reggae tunes.
