
In 2025, Faces & Voices of Recovery marked a year of bold advocacy, strategic growth, and transformative impact—celebrating 20 years since incorporation and reaffirming its mission to build a Recovery-Ready Nation. Through policy leadership, community engagement, and innovative programming, the organization advanced recovery access, equity, and sustainability across the country.

Policy & Advocacy Leadership
Influenced federal funding priorities through the FY 2025 appropriations process, secured increased investment in the Building Communities of Recovery (BCOR) program, and championed legislation such as the CARE Act and RESTORE Act. The organization also played a pivotal role in shaping the 2025 National Drug Control Strategy and defending access to methadone and telemedicine-based treatment.

Training & Capacity Building
Delivered 73 training events through the National Recovery Institute, reaching over 4,000 registrants and providing nearly 182 hours of technical assistance. Launched the Recovery & U Learning Management System (LMS) and Peer Recovery Commons app to expand access to peer-led education and support.

Community Engagement & Events
Hosted signature events including the Recovery Leadership Summit, Recovery Month celebrations, and Recovery Capital Pop-Ups in Indiana and Pennsylvania, mobilizing thousands of advocates and elevating recovery voices nationwide.

Data & Research Excellence
Expanded the Recovery Data Platform (RDP), with over 204,000 recovery coaching sessions completed in 2025. Contributed to research on Recovery Community Centers reinforcing the value of peer-led models.

Financial Stewardship
Despite a strategic operating loss of $494,000, the organization maintained strong revenue ($4.3 million) and invested in long-term infrastructure, technology, and advocacy to sustain future growth.

Initiated partnerships with international organizations to share U.S. innovations and strengthen recovery systems worldwide.
