Recovery Stories

My name is LaNisha, a person in long-term recovery. I have encountered trauma and many experiences that impacted my mental health which led to addiction. Because of recovery, I am able to participate in my life today, being a positive force and influence to others. I am a parent, friend, daughter, partner, and woman whose life has meaning and value today. I am grateful for the life that recovery has given and that my struggles have become my STRENGTHS! I choose LIFE versus being DEFEATED by addiction and will continue paving the way for countless others.
