America's Opioid Epidemic: Supporting Recovery

On February 14, 2018, we co-sponsored America's Opioid Epidemic: Supporting Recovery at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. We worked with The Hill, the event hostsand Indivior, our co-sponsor, to organize the event and recruit high profile speakers including the Surgeon General of the United States, Jerome Adams, M.D.; Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI), and Congressman Dave Joyce (R-OH).

Our goal was to educate policymakers about the need for federal funding for recovery support services provided by authentic, accredited recovery community organizations.  With 192 people in attendance, and hundreds more watching online, the event was a huge success!
