Faces & Voices of Recovery welcomes all local, regional and statewide non-profit organizations that are led and governed by the addiction recovery community (people in recovery, their families, friends, and allies) to apply to join the Association of Recovery Community Organizations.

ARCO members are Recovery Community Organizations (RCOs) that are independently accountable to the recovery community which means that people in recovery, their families, friends, and allies are involved in managing the organization and decision-making at every level.

• ARCO is not a certifying body.  The applications submitted are for organizations to become a member of a national membership organization. The Certificate of Membership is not intended to be used as a means to satisfy grant requirements and we will not provide information to outside entities regarding membership status.

If your organization is a program, project, or division of another larger organization (fiscal agent/ parent agency), it should nevertheless be independent of the larger organization with respect to its own mission, vision, and governance structure.

• Until further notice, only applications from RCOs with their own 501c3 status, that are not under the umbrella of a fiscal agent or parent organization, will be reviewed.

The ARCO Review Committee reviews applications based upon the organization’s application, website, and public-facing social media. The organization’s website and public-facing social media are used to verify the information found within the application. If the information detailed in an organization’s application is not verifiable through the organization’s website and public-facing social media, the organization’s ARCO application may be denied.

• The  ARCO Review Committee has the right to deny membership for any reason. There is no appeals process.
