2023 Recovery Month Kickoff Luncheon

Join us on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm ET, in the Columbus Club room at Union Station in Washington, DC. If you’re unable to join us in-person we’ll now be live-streaming on Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

This luncheon serves to launch Recovery Month, showcasing the power of recovery and celebrating the strides our community has made. The event will include guest speakers from SAMHSA, ONDCP, and other key public officials.

Additionally, Faces & Voices of Recovery is excited to partner with SAMSHA this year for the first-ever Walk for Recovery immediately following the luncheon. We’ll be joined by Assistant Secretary of Mental Health and Substance Use, Miriam E. Delphin-Rittmon, Ph.D., other federal organizations, recovery communities and allies, and other organizations at 2:30 pm ET at Columbus Circle to start our walk towards the Capitol. There is no cost to attend the luncheon and Walk for Recovery; however, we do ask that you register in advance. Click here to register to attend SAMSHA’s Walk for Recovery!

Recovery Month, started in 1989, is a national observance held every September to recognize the importance of evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, support the strong recovery community, and honor the tireless work of recovery service providers and community members that make recovery possible.

On-site registration for the luncheon is only available by direct invitation at this time. If you’re interested in joining us in-person please contact us at support@recoverymonth.net.

Registration for live-streaming the event is not required and open to everyone.
