Below are just a few learning objectives we aim to complete within the VLC!
Learning Objectives
- Learn how to apply frameworks such as the socio-ecological model, social determinants of health, and the cycles of poverty and recidivism to direct service in community-based settings.
- Identify trauma-informed strategies for individuals, community members, and other harm reduction practitioners before, during, and following incarceration.
- Create alignment between direct service practitioners and policymakers regarding the nuances of care and advocacy for justice-impacted populations.
