RCO Mission Statement

RAW Vision

Recovery Advocacy Warriors (RAW) is a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) that is made up of community members who are dedicated to providing education, advocacy, prevention, and awareness for individuals effected by substance use disorder (SUD) and addiction recovery.

RAW Mission

The Recovery Advocacy Warriors (RAW) strive to put a face and voice on recovery by raising awareness in the community with education, advocacy, and support to those in recovery as well as family, friends, and allies of recovery. The mission supports all pathways to recovery and works to remove any barriers to recovery. The Recovery Advocacy Warriors also work to reduce stigma surrounding substance use disorder and increase long-term recovery.

The Recovery Advocacy Warriors will act on behalf the recovery community to advocate for change to end stigma and discrimination against individuals effected by substance use disorder and those in recovery.

RAW supports multiple pathways to recovery. We also focus on connecting individuals to recovery-related activities and services such as:

• St. Joseph Center of Hope (A 23-hour crisis intervention center that provides shelter and stabilization until the client can reach the next level of care.)
• Referrals to Medicated Assisted Treatment programs, outpatient services, inpatient services
• Connecting individuals with Recovery Coaches and Peer Support services
• Mutual aid support groups (Evidence based groups, 12-step programs, faith-based groups, and any other group that supports recovery.)

• 2019 Walk & Rally= 60+ participants, 143+ years of recovery
• 2019- 2nd Annual Recovery Picnic= 150+ participants, 342+ years of recovery
• Naloxone trainings= 75 people trained; more than 30 kits distributed
• CCAR Recovery Coaches Trained= 20
