PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT
ANGEL HAVEN
Our proudest accomplishment is our peer supportive housing program called Angel Haven. Our first home is one specifically tailored to recovering women and their children. We are proud of how well the family works together to support, encourage and function as a healthy family. The home is based on the NARR Standards. What we have seen has been just beautiful to watch as the women, children and community truly thrive together!
We are looking forward to opening our next Angel Haven location that will be open to all persons in recovery, whether they are a small family, single, single mom or a single dad. We look forward to implementing the same recovery standards and traditions to unite others as a family system that really thrive together!
THRIVING UNITED RECOVERY COMMUNITY CENTER
Thriving United leased office space in a building across the street from the Midland County Courthouse. This provides a great location for central accessibility, visibility, and access for new peers. Space is provided for Peer Recovery Support in a pleasant environment. It is being used immediately, providing a connection for volunteers. It is kid-friendly and supports a family feel and convenience for parents.
SPONSORSHIP FOR TREATMENT AND COUNSELING
Through donations, we sent eight adults to intensive one-week residential treatment and thirteen adults to full-term residential treatment. We sent one teenager to extended residential treatment. Twenty individuals were afforded the opportunity to receive ongoing individual therapeutic counseling. Thriving United is blessed to be a part of helping people get the help they need. We can help the community put both their talents and their dollars to an effective service.
PARTICIPANT TESTIMONIALS
The meditation room is tranquil and peaceful. The recovery center is a positive resource and a safe space for my needs on my journey to live a sober and healthy life. – Clay H.
It’s been a great time working and volunteering at the Center. It’s been an opportunity to work with others, and to grow thereby. I really appreciate having Pat, Jenn, Garrett, Kristi, and others to interact with. They have been hospitable, kind, and encouraging especially during this time of the coronavirus! – Tim S.
