Drew E. Mitchell
Drew E. Mitchell is a native Baltimorean serving as National Harm Reduction Technical Assistance Center as The Resource and Training Manager. As an activist and advocate by heart, She possesses a PMP, B.S in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Global and Political Advocacy and 8 years of experience in micro, mezzo and macro levels of advocacy and social work. She deeply values intersectionality and alignment, respect and inclusion between grassroots organizations and institutions to achieve social impact initiatives. Drew E. Mitchell’s dedicated her career to blending agile and culturally relevant approaches to strategic goal implementation, program execution and knowledge management for institutions that impact BIPOC, LGBTQIA, and incarcerated individuals.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Resource and Training Manager led the Pride Center of Maryland’s case management and advocacy portfolio, executing and piloting several programs including infectious disease, HIV/HCV testing, transitional care, mental and substance abuse screening clinic, intensive outpatient substance abuse, and transgender affirming support. Under her leadership in collaboration with executive leadership and the Druid Heights Community Development Center, she spearheaded an LGBTQIA and reentry focused intensive outpatient harm reduction program. Drew has led and managed several social impact, public health and political programs with equity-focused knowledge management seamlessly integrated throughout her career. Her portfolio spans across several sectors from developing DEIAB curricula and training in non-profit during civil unrest, informing grant strategies, winning political campaigns and conducting political and public health landscape analyses to providing bilingual disaster recovery efforts and research.
