[ORN] Families at the Heart of Recovery: Family Peer Support Strategies for Opioid, Stimulant, and Polysubstance Use
Families at the Heart of Recovery: Family Peer Support Strategies for Opioid, Stimulant, and Polysubstance Use is an interactive ORN -Sponsored Family Forum focused on the critical role families play in prevention, treatment, and long‑term recovery. This session brings together lived experience, professional expertise, and national data to explore current opioid and stimulant trends, the impact of polysubstance use on families, and the unique challenges families face across systems such as treatment, child welfare, and community services. Panelists and participants examine effective family peer support models, integration strategies, and opportunities for strengthening family-centered responses, elevating family voices, and identifying actionable steps participants can take to support family recovery‑oriented, compassionate systems in their communities.
