July 02, 2026

This training builds a strong foundation in ethical practice, values, and professional boundaries in peer support roles. Participants learn how to navigate the unique challenges of peer work, including dual relationships, self-disclosure, and role clarity.  The session highlights SAMHSA core competencies, ethical decision-making frameworks, and the importance of maintaining healthy boundaries to protect both peers and participants. Through real-world scenarios, participants gain tools to respond to complex situations with integrity and confidence.

Funding for this initiative was made possible (in part) by grant no. 1H79TI088037 from SAMHSA. The views expressed in written conference materials or publications and by speakers and moderators do not necessarily reflect the official policies of the Department of Health and Human Services; nor does mention of trade names, commercial practices, or organizations imply endorsement by the U.S. Government.
