The National Recovery Institute offers competency and strength-based professional development and leadership training specific to our field. Our experienced trainers offer training accessible to all learning styles through a combination of information sharing, dialogue, and experiential activities. Through a consultative process, we will build an onsite or online training program specific to your needs.
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST ASSET? YOUR PEOPLE!
Not only does professional development benefit your staff and volunteers but is also a terrific human resource asset to ensure staff retention. Organizations that enable access to valuable training topics to their staff on an ongoing basis enjoy better loyalty and longer retention.
There are a variety of approaches to professional and organizational development including consultation, learning communities, on-site and virtual training, and technical assistance.
Training
We offer a wide range of on-site and virtual training for agencies, organizations and groups.
When it comes to improving skills and taking your organization to a new level, there’s really no substitute for a live training event. By interacting with a room full of peers, asking questions of subject matter experts, and examining real-life applications of the information helps to cement the new knowledge.
If your organization has a specific training need that is not on our current menu, we would be honored to design a curriculum for you.
Workforce Development
We believe that simply taking a training does not make someone competent or skilled in peer support. Excellent training experiences, on-the-job paid or volunteer experience, competent supervision and continuing education are the key elements of a workforce development plan.
The National Recovery Institute at Faces & Voices of Recovery is available to consult with your organization as you establish the best model of training and certification for your peer workforce.
Our trainings are approved by NAADAC and IC&RC for the peer recovery credentials.
Technical Assistance
The National Recovery Institute offers on-site and virtual technical assistance for organizations across the nation. Our main goal is to help improve the quality of peer service delivery and provide organizations the support they need to build capacity based on national standards.
- Advocacy and Public Education
- Peer Recovery Support Services
- Organizational Development
